number of column and rows of different images

I am working with number of satellite images. To be able to work with them in matlab they should have a same number of col and rows. for this purpose I forced them to have the same number of row and col, but the pixel sizes and resolution changes. Is there any way to solve this problem. Is there anyway that I work with different images with different number of rows and columns?

Sayeh - why is it necessary for the images to have the same dimensions? What (code?) is forcing this restriction on you?
