finding the freq domain for a record and the fourier transform

hi every body am studding computer engineering and i want ur help , i have a mat-lap homework and i dont know how to do it i need to plot a voice record with frequency domain and find the Fourier transform how to do it and what functions to use, plz i need it necessarily.
