When I am executing the following command then I am getting an error message:
>> A = imread('image.png');
>> imshow(A)
>> Caught unexpected fl::except::IInternalException

Well, for me, it happened due to the graphics driver issue. The OS is ubuntu 16.04 LTS. To solve this problem, type:
opengl info
There, Matlab will give you low-level graphics troubleshooting methods.
The method of starting Matlab with software OpenGL solved my problem:
rik@ideapad:~$ matlab -softwareopengl
