clear function does not work

Hi: After my code finished, I see that the Matlab occupied about 20GB memory. I tried to clear them but failed.
I have tried clear, clear all, clearvars, clearvars -global, etc. which can be find here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/clear.html is there anyway to figure out why this happens?
