Trying to decide which toolbox to purchase

I'm looking to implement and design 2D noise reduction filters. I'd like to start using the built-in Weiner filter to get comfortable with MATLAB then I would require the ability to design and implement custom filters to achieve my performance goals. Can anyone give some insight into the available toolboxes? Would I need both the Image Processing Toolbox and the DSP System Toolbox?
Thanks

I certainly like both toolboxes and both have good features, but from the description you give, it sounds to me like Image Processing Toolbox is the better option.

Hi Wayne, As a first-time Matlab user, can you let me know what I might be missing out on without the DSP System Toolbox? The issue here is that I can write a PO for both if they are justified. Writing one now and adding one later will be more difficult for me. Thanks
