2017b simulink real time does not work on Advantech target computer

Hi!

Though I am aware that MATLAB doesn't support custom target machines anymore in versions > 2018, I am using 2017b and hoping to find an answer here. so here is the question :

I have an Advantech target computer (UNO-3085G-D44E), on which I used to run Simulink RT 2016A through a USB stick without any problems.

I am trying to upgrade the system to 2017b. However, when I try to turn on the system with a new bootable disk,

the simulink RT gives me the following error : exception 000e error code 0004

I checked the mathworks forum, there are two questions with the same error code on previous versions of MATLAB.

there are no solutions suggested in those cases, however some users suggested to turn off the usb support option on slrtexplr.

I tried that but nothing changed.

any help is appreciated
