Undefined function "" for variables of type 'char'

Hello,
i'm trying to pass a python string to a matlab function this way:
AutonomesAuto = eng.Input_Fahrzeug('AutonomesAuto',4.9,2.0,30.0,5.0,9.00,0.0)
The AutonomesAuto is an object. When running this, I get the follwoing error:
'Undefined function 'Input_Fahrzeug' for input arguments of type 'char'.'
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks!

The AutonomesAuto is an object
It's completely irrelevant what it is. The code you've shown will destroy that object and replace it with whatever your function outputs.
Undefined function ...
You typically get this error when matlab cannot find the function (because it's not on matlab path). What does
which Input_Fahrzeug -all
return?
I meant that the return should be an object, but I do not know if that is possible.
Input_Fahrzeug -all
returns 'name Input_Fahrzeug is not defined'. Does this mean it is not on matlab path?
Thank you!

Yes, matlab cannot find the function.
