Hello Mathworkers,
I am littel bit confused about the Detection Rate equation I found to formal for it and not sure which one is correct and if both are correct whene to use each one
Detection Rate = TP / (TP+FP)
Detection Rate = TP / (TP+FN)
if any one could explain this to me please

Both are true, but represents the two different terms
True Positive Rate: TP / (TP+FN);
True Negative Rate: TP / (TP+FP);
The broad concepts are same, but the illustration may different based on application. see here
