coupling engine model with MPC controller

In coupling GT Suite engine block to MPC controller in SIMULINK, I encounter following error:
'plant model cannot be a pure feed-through system without additional dynamics '
Engine model is a time based model (or dynamic model).
Would you please let me know what is this error for, and how can I get rid of it?
