I am using the Series RLC Branch for an Inductor. I need to add parasitic resistance to the inductor. Would using the LC branch type and adding the resistance value be the parasitic resistance?

Can you expand on this? I believe all inductors naturally have some parasitic resistance.

I am designing a forward converter but I need my inductor to have a parasitic resistance of 1miliohms. There is an inductor block that allows you to choose that parasitic resistance but I am unable to connect it to my circuit. I am only able to connect the RLC branch. Which is why I’m wondering if I choose the LC branch type if that would equate parasitic resistance for the inductor.

Yes, the parasitic resistance can be modeled by adding either a series resistor (known as ESR - equivalent series resistance) or a parallel resistor (known as EPR - equivalent parallel resistance). Simscape Electrical (blue blocks) offer the option to add ESR in the block mask.
