Using EditField string as variable (appdesigner)

Hello, i have in MLapp some editField1 and EditField2 and i need them to use as string variable. For example:

To editFiled1 i write x(2) and to editField2 (1-(x(1)^2))**x(2) - x(1)

then i need to use them asi parameters in function:

f.e:

function xder=func(t,x)
            xder=[app.editField1.Value;app.editField2.Value];
        end
           

is something like that even possible ? thanks for replies

You could use ‘setappdata’ and ‘getappdata’ to store and retrieve application-defined data. So you store the values of the Edit Fields using setappdata and use getappdata to retrieve it in the function. For more information on how to use these functions refer to the following links
