Hi,
I want to create a model of a district heating substation. Until now I have used simulink for control purposes and found out the existence of simscape.
What is the difference, do you recommend one or another?
Thanks in advance!

Simulink uses block diagram approach. The signal flow is unidirection. Simscape uses physical modeling approach. The signal flow is bi-directional between blocks. Simscape models should have less blocks and easier to understand and maintain if you can use the blocks in the Simscape library to describe your system.
