SQL Server Compact Database File

Has anyone successfully accessed data contained in a SQL Server Compact Database File (.SDF)?

If so, could you share the steps involved (drivers needed, connection string, etc.)? Thanks.

While the file extension is the same, this is not an ascii Standard Data Format file, it is a binary relational database file: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL_Server_Compact. I should have noted the distinction in my original question, as I had also found these answers, but they do not apply here.
