how to find mask for binary image

            can anyone help me to find mask for a binarised image.

Hi...

   You can get the masking predefine function  like sobel and canny in matlab operator it will perform masking.

a=im2bw(rgb2gray((imread('3.gif')));
b=edge(a,'sobel');
figure,imshow(b);
or
b=edge(a,'canny');
figure,imshow(b);
