Basic question about Text Analysis/Text Analytics/Text Mining using Matlab

What existing functions and features can I use for basic text analysis/text analytics/text mining in Matlab? For example, to read a whole book in txt format, or better still in epub format, and list the words in order of their frequency. Any suggestions and starting points? Thank you fellows!
