FillValue property for READTABLE

The documentation for configuring import options for tables twice mentions the property FillValue, but gives no example as to its correct use. Wherre might I find such an example (or can anyone post a short one here)?

It’s mentioned seven times in various contexts. Probably the best documentation for FillValue is in setvaropts, and specifically in Common Options for All Variable Types (there is no direct link to FillValue). That documentation also provides contexts for its use.

My confusion had to do with the fact that neither mention of FillValue on that "Define Import Options" page in my original post has a working example, nor a link. I simply didn't search far enough. I suppose linkifying one of those references (to the setvaropts page you helpfully mentioned) would be a good idea there.
In any case, I do indeed see several working examples on that page. I'm all sorted now. Thanks!

Hello Dear Star Strider,
your post was very useful!
I sort my problem out, and I didn't think to have a generic view of the programming.
You know, for example A = (Variables, Name, Value).
Cheers and good luck.
