Web App Input Arguments

Any update on the ability to have input arguments on WebApps?

It would be extremely useful to have the ability to do this with a syntax something like this:

https://<myserver>/webapps/home/session.html?app=exampleApp&pointDensity=10&pointQuantity=1000
