Multichannel EEG- signal processing

Hi :)
I´m working right now on my bachelors thesis and have a big starting problem.
I have to work with an multichannel eeg- signal (as matrix). But I really dont know how to do that. Someone gave me a hint that I can use the laplace transform on this matrix so that I get onlyn one signal which I can keep on working with.
But I really dont know what he was meaning with this laplace transformation. Could please someone help me? :)
Conclusion of my problem: I dont know how to work mit the matrix and only want one signal (vector) which I can work with.
Thanks in advance :)

The Laplace transform idea was likely inappropriate. That does’t make sense to me.
Each column of the matrix should be a different channel. To develop your code, choose one channel and then expand your code to the others when you get it working.

Thanks a lot for your answer :)
Yes I wanted to do it that way because it also made sense to me but they told me that only one signal/ channel would have too less information/ too many artifacts and thats the reason I should use all the information from the matrix by using the laplace transformation?
Do you have a idea how I can use all the information from my matrix?
thanks in advance!
