I have a Simscape Subsystem with multiple Frames from different Body objects. For now, my subsystem has many ports for the different frames and i would like to include them in something like the Bus for signal, since i only need few of the frames each time. Is there a way to sum up all frames in one big port?

Hi Marcus,
To manage multiple frames from different Body objects in Simscape Multibody more efficiently, you can't directly combine them into a single port like a signal bus in Simulink. However, you can organize your model to simplify connections by:
  • Group related Body objects within a subsystem, connecting them internally as needed.
  • Use Connector ports to expose only the frames required for external connections, reducing interface complexity.
  • While a single port for all frames isn't possible, strategic organization within subsystems can achieve a similar level of clarity and manageability.
  • Clearly name and document each Connector port and subsystem to maintain model clarity.
  • Physical connections, unlike signal connections, require direct paths for physical quantities, preventing the aggregation of frames into a single "bus-like" port.
