WIll R2011a student edition run on OSX Mavericks?

I would like to update my operating system to Mavericks. Will R2011a student edition run on it?

That would not be a supported configuration, but you probably can get it to work. At a minimum, you will need to install both Java 6 (from Apple) and XQuartz.

Thanks for the info. I will be really sad if I am locked out of Mavericks in order to keep running my MATLAB. I have been running R2011a on Mountain lion 10.8.5 with no issues.
