This 3-shot method requires displacement of 3 positions at 0,120,240 degrees and initial displacement to determine the position and magnitude of mass to be placed for balancing disks/shafts. The advantage of 3-shot method over 2-shot method is that it requires knowledge of displacement amplitude only while the 2-shot method requires the knowledge of both displacement amplitude and angle of the unbalance. The program locates the centroid of the area by approximating it as a triangle if the three circles intersects each other other wise it calculates the centroid of the triangle formed by the external tangents of circles.

updated evaluation of SUBS function in the GUI m file. i guess the evaluation method has changed in MATLAB R2008b. Now one have to give the matrix as a cell array in order to evaluate the symbolic expression as numeric.
