2D vortex tracker

This script identifies and trackes the motion of a vortex within a 2D vorticity field.

This script identifies and trackes the motion of a vortex within a 2D vorticity field.

In the main script vortex_tracker.m, the input file should contain a time series of 2D vorticity fields (a 3D data file), with the last dimension indicating time. The output image shows the trajectory of the strongest vortex in the last 2D vorticity field.

The code is also for general usage such as tracking a concentrated pattern within a field.
