I frequently go from working on a big screen at my desk to undocking my laptop and working on a tiny screen and vice-versa. Especially with the laptop, it’s very convenient not to have to use mouse clicks to change to my preferred MATLAB desktop layout for my current working conditions, hence the LYT function.

LYT by itself changes the MATLAB desktop layout to the default layout, nominally 'Default'. This default layout can be set to your preference in the code.

LYT NAME changes the layout to the saved layout named NAME.

LYT NAME -SAVE saves the current layout as NAME.
