Why does MATLAB 6.5 (R13) hang when I reposition a figure legend to the lower left corner?

1. When I generate a figure, I enter "Plot Edit" mode, and right click on the legend border.

2. I go to properties, and change the location from "automatic" to "lower left".

3. I click "OK", and close the dialog.

Sometimes it hangs right here without a segmentation fault, other times, if I select "copy figure", MATLAB will crash with a segmentation fault.

This has been verified as a bug in MATLAB 6.5 (R13) in the way that MATLAB handles legend positioning.

Currently, to work around this issue, try repositioning the legend by dragging it with the mouse.
