How do I setup the GNU GCC Compiler in MATLAB?

I'm new to .cpp programming, and I'm trying to install a compiler in MATLAB that will be compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. In particular, I'm trying to setup the GNU GCC Compiler. I have read up in other forums about modifications to the .bat file, but I don't know which flags and commands to modify.
