Can you access fit parameters within a cftool .sfit session externally?

I have a rather large number of fits within several saved curve fitting toolbox sessions (.sfit, 2012b) that I would like to get at quickly from the command prompt rather than the gui.
I know coeffvals can access the data in a cfit or sfit OBJECT, but I know of no way to do anything with the saved session without loading the gui and exporting the fits one by one (or writing them out manually by hand, which I tend to end up doing as I have a few hundred of them).
Is there a way or does this simply not exist? (and before you answer, we've been through part of this before, yes, fitting them with "fit" from the command line would give me more flexibility in this sense, but the data isn't such that I can do that, besides which, I've already gone through and fitted these! :) )
As a side note, I'd be equally happy (well, I could live with) parsing the data manually from the .sfit file if I had any idea what the format is, but I haven't managed to find that anywhere.
Thoughts?
