When switching from a Concurrent or Network Named User license to an Individual or Designated Computer license, you can choose to keep access to your Concurrent or Network Named User license for the purposes of accessing additional toolboxes. (Your MATLAB seat must come from the Individual or Designated Computer license.)
Keep using toolboxes on the Concurrent or Network Named User license
If you would like to launch MATLAB using an Individual or Designated Computer license and use additional toolboxes from a Concurrent or Network Named User license, you will need to activate MATLAB to both licenses. To activate the Individual or Designated Computer license:
After restarting MATLAB, your ver output will display the new Individual or Designated Computer license. Any toolboxes you have installed which are not on the Individual or Designated Computer license will continue to draw licenses from the Concurrent or Network Named User license.
Stop using toolboxes on the Concurrent or Network Named User license
If you want to stop using the Concurrent or Network Named User license, you'll need to remove the license information for that license from your machine after activating the Individual or Designated Computer license per the above steps. Concurrent or Network Named User license information can be stored in a network license file or in an environment variable. To find your network license file see the following article:
To identify environment variables which contain MATLAB license information, see the following article:
