Hi,

yes that is possible. The head node is the machine where the Scheduler is running. Running the Scheduler and Worker on the same machine is possible.

Is the MDCE service started on the head node? Are you using the admincenter or do you do all the steps from the command line? You can also contact the Install Support. They will assist you with setting up the MJS.

yes mdce services started. I did it using admincenter.

Does the headnode appear in the HostName column in the Hosts list in the admincenter? Is it reachable (there should be a green bubble)? What happens if you test the connectivity in the admincenter? Does everything pass?
