hi,
I have a set of points (nearly 8,000) scattered in a 2D matrix. I calculated the distance between any two of them and then used Histogram to plot it.Here is what I am getting:

I am just wondering what do the colors represent?
It might be helpful to know that:
- these points are actually the centers of disks (all with the same diameter) and as such cannot get closer to one another beyond the diameter.
- the matrix is nearly 1500 by 1000
any comment would be appreciated

If you do hist() on a 2D array, then you will get an histogram for each column of your array. The bars with the same color will be the histogram for a given column of said array.
