Related to importing a stl file in matlab

I am trying to get the STL model in Matlab but I am unable to open an STL file in Matlab. Also, I want to see the side view, front view and top view of that STL file in Matlab in the form of animation like a tank is firing a bullet.

You would need to use stlread to load an STL file into MATLAB. Once in, you can use the view function to see specific camera angles.

I do not believe this is an approach you want to use to create an animation, but perhaps someone else knows more about how to accomplish that.

Thanks for the answer. The problem is that stlread is not working in the Matlab. Also, the main thing I want is to show the stl model in the graph in different projections with the help of excel file data.

It sounds like you are wanting a solution tailored to your specific files but you have not shared any of your files. Consider attaching them using the paperclip icon. You will need to zip the stl file, as the ".stl" file extension is not supported for upload here.

Can you tell me how to upload a cad model in Matlab for animation purposes like I have the datasheet from which I want to animate the graph and instead of graphical lines I want the model to move in the graph which is 3d
