Highlighting text in Editor

Is there a way to highlight %Comments in my code within the editor? I would like to do it as reminders. Thank you.

You can't highlight particular comments in your code, but you can add TODOs, FIXMEs and NOTEs comments and get a report that show them all at once.
Just put the respective strict in a comment of your choosing and generate the report by right-clicking in matlab's folder browser and selecting reports->TODO/FIXME report.
