R2022a installer not launching on an M1 Mac

I am installing Matlab R2022a on an Mac M1 mini running Monterey. I downloaded the dmg which did launch and ran the downloader from there. The installer then fails to run. I have rebooted, but it still just bounces twice and disappears.

• Refer to https://in.mathworks.com/support/search.html/videos/how-to-install-matlab-1525083586145.html?fq[]=asset_type_name:video&fq[]=category:install/index&page=1 for clean Installation.
• Also delete the corrupt files on your devices that might have got downloaded or curropted during your failed Installation process.
• Make sure you stop any Anti-virus program running during Installation
