Why am I unable to use partial searches within the License Center Search?

This is as designed.  The License Center Search by: term must be a full word.

For example, if the License Label is set to 'TEST_DC&'

If 'TEST_DC&' is searched, it will provide results. However just searching 'DC' or '_DC&' will yield the error: There are no matching records found for this criteria.
