How can I use MATLAB to work with the J1587 vehicle protocol?
I have the Vehicle Network Toolbox but haven't used it yet - most of my experience is with NI XNET or devices like DPA5 and Grandview USB.
Vector has hardware for J1708/J1587, but I don't know if the Vehicle Network Toolbox supports the protocol.

I understand that you want to use MATLAB to work with the J1587 vehicle protocol,
MATLAB's Vehicle Network Toolbox primarily focuses on higher-layer protocols like CAN, CAN FD, J1939, and XCP messages., and it may not directly support J1587, which is a lower-layer protocol commonly used in heavy-duty vehicles.
You can also refer to the following documentation on Vehicle network toolbox if required,
Hope this Helps!
Thanks.
