I'm writing up some code to hand to undergraduate engineering students so they can pull data off of their oscilloscopes in lab directly into MATLAB. We currently have the code written using the 'visa' command, but I recently had a great experience creating a quick control function generator object using 'fgen' and was hoping I could do something similar here.
The 'oscilloscope' command seems to be what I want to use, but when I try to make the connection I get an error message stating I need to specify a driver. I downloaded the RIGOL drivers to the computer, but I think there are some MATLAB specific drivers required to create the quick control object. Is there a support package with the right drivers for a RIGOL oscilloscope, or will I just be using 'visadev' for this project? Thanks!

Hi Edward,
I understand that you want to pull data off the oscilloscopes directly into MATLAB. It seems like you are encountering an error message when attempting to make the connection and are in need of the right drivers for a RIGOL oscilloscope.
You can find detailed information in the below provided discussion link, which addresses interfacing with an oscilloscope using MATLAB and offers insights into using the necessary drivers to establish a connection with the device:-
I hope it helps,
Thanks and Regards,
Akash.
