Just to let you know, the MATLAB starts fine. It only happens while using MATLAB GUI such as writing scripts. Please advise if you have any idea why it's happening and how I can fix it. Thanks!

Hello,
I have recently update MATLAB from MATLAB R2022a to MATLAB R2023a.
After update, MATLAB suddenly turned off while using MATLAB GUI such as writing scripts, and shows me the error message:
segmentation fault (core dumped)
I have had no problem using MATLAB R2022a, so I'm not sure why it starts to happen.
I'm currently using CentOS7 and MATLAB R2023a.
Please advise how I could fix this error. Thank you.

Did you try reinstalling MATLAB? Also, try disabling any third-party toolboxes or add-ons and start MATLAB with clean environment

Hey Sarah,
I understand you MATLAB is suddenly turning off and you are getting ‘segmentation fault’ as error message. Some workarounds for the issue are as follows:
- Try reinstalling MATLAB and rebooting your device.
- Also you can try running the command – ‘sudo apt-get install matlab-support’ with reference to How can I fix the "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" bug? - MATLAB Answers - MATLAB Central (mathworks.com)
Hope this helps.
