I am attempting to establish a connection with a Speedgoat machine that is located on a separate network, isolated from the main company network.
How can I access a Simulink Real-Time (SLRT) Speedgoat target computer on a separate network?

To ensure a successful connection through a separate network, it is crucial to accurately configure the gateway IP address. In MATLAB, this can be done using the Speedgoat Ethernet Configuration Tool, which can be opened by entering "speedgoat.configureEthernet" in the MATLAB command window:

Modify the default gateway as shown above and click the "Store" button to apply the new gateway to the Speedgoat machine. The machine will then reboot automatically.
Since Speedgoat I/O Blockset version 9.9.1 (17-Dec-2024), the command-line tool speedgoat_setDefaultGateway is available to permanently change the target's gateway IP address from the console.

After setting up the default gateway IP, you should be able to operate the Speedgoat in a separate network. Please notice that this gateway setting is not required for a point-to-point host-target connection.
