Hello,
I'd like to connect my Parrot Mambo and Rolling Spider minidrone to my laptop to go through the Programming Drones with Simulink steps as described here - https://www.mathworks.com/videos/programming-drones-with-simulink-1513024653640.html . Connection using the bluetooth is descibed on the mentioned link.
But I found also these guidelines - Connect to Parrot Mambo Drone Over Wi-Fi descibing connection via the wifi.
So may I ask you which way is currently prefered? I tried it briefly and it seems that only bluetooth works for me.
Thank you

I understand that you need information regarding the preferred method for connecting the Parrot Mambo Drone, specifically choosing between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
MathWorks provides support packages for Parrot Mambo Drone, which facilitate different connection methods:
  1. MATLAB Support Package for Parrot Drones: This provides enables to connect to connect the drone to a computer via a Wi-Fi connection. For information refer this link: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/supportpkg/getting-started-with-matlab-parrot-drones.html
  2. Parrot Minidrones Support from Simulink: This provides allows to deploy algorithms wirelessly over Bluetooth Low Energy. Please refer this link for more information: https://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/parrot-minidrones.html
Since you are using Simulink, this is the reason why only Bluetooth connection is working. Depending on the use-case one can choose between the two support packages for Parrot Drone.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Arun
