Hi Tim,
As per my understanding, you are trying to establish communication between MATLAB and RobotStudio in order to transfer the robotpath. To achieve this, the only way to send commands from MATLAB or Simulink is through a TCP/IP connection. You can read more about TCP/IP connection below:
Also, if the robot can be programmed via the Robot Operating System (ROS), you can make use of the ROS Toolbox in MATLAB and Simulink to interface directly with the robot, negating the need for RobotStudio. The ROS Toolbox integrates well with ROS and would allow you to control the robot directly from MATLAB. For more information about ROS Toolbox, kindly refer to the following page:
