Why am I encountering issues using MATLAB Web App Server behind a proxy or load balancer?

I would like to use MATLAB Web App Server (R2026a) behind a reverse proxy, potentially with load balancing across multiple server instances. 

How can I set this up and what are some common issues I should watch out for?

You can set up third-party reverse proxy tools such as NGINX in front of MATLAB Web App Server to gain functionality such as load balancing. Other applications, such as Kemp, Apache, or HAProxy, can be used, but these have not been tested.
