MySql datainsert/ fastinsert problem

Hi all,

When I try to write a single value in one column of my MySql database I retrieve an errror: Error using database/datainsert (line 142) Unable to complete insert operation. Field 'timestamp' doesn't have a default value

The Table of the database is made of several column, the first one is 'timestamp'.

Now Should I write all the columns all togehter to make an insert?

Hi Sal,

when you write a single entry to one column, then this will add a row to your table, and all the other columns will get their default value. But your timestamp column does not have a default value, therefore you get the error message.

Usually you insert a full row at once into a db ...
