error using streamline function

I am trying to plot the stream lines for the velocity field in the attached mat file. The vector field is easily plotted using the command

quiver(X,Y,u,v)

However when I try and use the streamline command

streamline(X,Y,u,v,0.5,0.5)

I get the error:

Error using griddedInterpolant Interpolation requires at least two sample points in each dimension.

When I copy paste the basic example from the matlab documentation the streamline function works fine, but I cannot figure out why it will not work for my vector field.
