Discrete Transfer function numerator/denum values from Workspace and HDL code generation

Hi, I would like to ask if Discrete Transfer function Numerator/ denum is assigned variable names, instead of constant values in "Funcational block parameters" dialog -- Num= [b0 b1]

Denum = [a0 a1]

and values are picked up from workspace e.g. a0=2 , a1=-1 , b0= 2 , b1=-2 etc

will it produce HDL code targeted to some ASIC etc or we should explicityl provide values instead of variable names.

assigning values to your block parameters directly in the block or in the workspace is the same thing
