Problems with activating MatLab

Dear,
My name is Uros Kresovic and I am student on KU Leuven. We need using MatLab on our courses and received activation key for MatLab. I followed the instructions and was able to download the software.
The installation went fine but got problems when trying to start the program via desktop icon. The message received starts with: "License checkout failed" "License manager Error -9"
Can you help me please?
