hi all, im currently designing a formula student tubular chassis for my final dissertation, ive used Ansys for FEA analysis, but i need to use Matlab or Simulink to demonstrate the use of the software. so, all i need is how to determine chassis deflection under certain loads in simulink. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Mohammed, let me refer you to two resources that are targetting that exact topic.
  1. There is a podcast series called MATLAB and Simulink Racing Lounge. and the video on chassis stiffness is one of the most viewed one.
  2. Another thread on MATLAB Answers is already talking about that.
I hope that is helpful!
Cheers Christoph

Hi,
Ive spent some time on the tutorial, i have entered in all of my joint co ordinates and the assembly section. however i keep on getting the following error: >> chassis001truss Error using truss Too many input arguments.
Error in chassis001truss (line 114) truss(n,m,joint,assembly,forceJ,stretch,index);
This error also occours even on the larrys toolbox example: truss3ex.2.m
Any help would be great.
thanks
