How to convert Uint8 to Ascii to be send by serial transmiter in Simulink without Ascii encoder for Tiva C

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make a very basic test with my Tiva C in simulink with the Embedded Coder Target for Energia, where I need to send a numerical value of a variable and receive it in another Tiva C, the communication will be send by UART, but the problem is that when I sent the number 123 for example, i only receive in my serial monitor the symbol {, because that the Ascii number for that symbol.

So i tried to use the Ascii encoder block between the constant value and the transmitter, but simulink give me this error:

Block 'untitled/ASCII Encode ' is a non-inlined s-function, which is not supported with the current configuration. Consider selecting the support 'non-inlined s-functions' option on the Configuration Parameters > Code Generation > Interface panel.

So I tried to check the configuration but that option doesn't appear in the configuration module, so I suppose that this block is not supported by my Tiva C.

My question is, how can I send the value of the variable and no the Ascii, using my Tiva C and Simulink?
