Problem with inputdlg box in GUI (GUIDE)

Hi!

I have a GUI written in GUIDE where I want to collect some user data using an inputdlg. For example, I could have

            prompt = {'Name:'};
            dlgTitle = 'Input';
            numLines = 1;
            defaultAns = {'John'};
            name = inputdlg(prompt,dlgTitle,numLines,defaultAns)

The problem is that the inputdlg window upon launching pushes my GUI window to the background. How can I overcome this?
