Pattern recognition via Simulink to Raspberry Pi

The Situation: I want to recognize good (pan,pot,...) and bad (dish towel, cable, mixer,...) items on a stove using a Raspberry Pi with pi noir cam - stand-alone. With "extractHOGfeatures" and sending the HOGfeatures to a Neural Network pattern recognition app I had promising results in Matlab.
The Problem: Seemingly extractHOGfeatures cannot be used in Simulink. Therefore I cannot deploy it to the Raspberry Pi to run stand-alone.
The Questions: 1. Is there really no way to use "extractHOGfeatures" in Simulink (and deploy it to Raspberry Pi)? 2. Can you recommend another extraction-algorithm fitting the purpose described above?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Jan Sgros, I too have a same requirement. Were you able to find the appropriate solution for this issue. Can you share even if there is any workaround for this requirement.
