I currently admin a license manager for a "Network Concurrent User" Matlab 2016b install.
We work with a user that has her own "Standalone Named User” license currently registered for her machine. This users machine recreantly died.
Is it possible to move a "Standalone Named User” license file in to flexlm, locking it to this single user? This is in the hopes of allowing her to use our existing Matlab 2016b install, and machines, with her personally reserved license/seat?
I assume the "Standalone Named User” license is not designed to work with flexlm, but wanted to confirm.

Speak to Mathworks support regarding the standalone named user license. They can convert it to a network named user license, which you can add to the license.dat file of your flexnet server. There may be a charge for this if the licenses differ in price. You may need to configure the mlm opt file as well to ensure that this user doesn't end up checking out your concurrent license.
Hope this helps.
