my version is "STUDENT", how do associate a license?

my version is "STUDENT" (what i get when i type ver in the command line), bet for the download of the new version i need to associate a license ... how do I proceed? it does not accept STUDENT as a license number

Hi when your version is student, it means that you registered at mathwork with .edu email. you can try to login to mathwork with your student email, or try to retrieve it if you forgot the password, then you can see your license associated with your Matlab, then try to upgrade it. it worked for me
